Presently housed at St. Patrick’s Catholic
Church located at 27-6th Street in Apalachicola.
The pantry is open on the first and third
Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon and assists approximately 400 families
distributing around 800 or more bags each month.
The Franklin County Food Pantry provides a good
representation of people working together to do
something good within the Community from the
Food Pantry Committee to the many volunteers who
donate their time to unload trucks and make bags
to distribute. Without these volunteers the Food
Pantry would not be able to operate.
In addition to the food that is donated from
local food drives, residents and businesses,
food is purchased from America’s Second Harvest
of the Big Bend and also at cost from the IGA
and Piggly Wiggly in Apalachicola.
In the past, thanks to local food drives and
private donations we have been able to provide
holiday meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We receive funding from the Franklin County
Board of County Commission, Trinity Episcopal
Church, Charles A. Frueauff Foundation, United
Way and Private Donations.
The Food Pantry is always in need of your
support either by making monetary or food
donations or by volunteering your time to help
the county’s most vulnerable citizens.
Monetary donations may be made online with your
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express,
Online Check, or
PayPal.
